About Texas Bats: Texas bat control problems
can sometimes get out of control. The ET Pest Control units works great
repelling the Texas Bat. They
simply plug-in to any house hold outlet or they can be plugged-in on the
end of an extension cord to get into tight and confined areas.
There are 32 species of bats found in Texas. Texas is the home of not
only the largest known bat colony in the world, near San Antonio, but
also the most famous urban bat colony, in Austin, and perhaps more
public bat-viewing locations than anywhere else. Bats have adapted well to our urban and suburban environments. Bats can
be found in and around buildings, bridges, and other manmade structures.
The most common place to find bats in homes are the gable vents. Gable
vents are screened vents located in peaks of gables that aid in proper
attic ventilation. Although most bats do not have rabies, those that do
may be disoriented and unable to fly, which makes it more likely that
they will come into contact with humans.
Avoid handling bats or having
them in one's living space, as with any wild animal. Please use proper
caution.
Bats are masters at squeezing
through small openings into attics, beneath shingles and siding, and
more. Some bats live a solitary existence; others, like the little brown
bat — with a lifespan of as much as 30 years — exist in colonies.
The most common bats found in Texas are the Cave Bat, Pallid Bat, and
the Brazilian Free-Tailed Bat.
